Dr FX Mayr’s manual abdominal therapy is always performed by a physician. It is a key element of every Mayr programme. Depending on your chosen package, you will have several of these treatments each week. MAT has a wide range of beneficial effects, and doesn’t take up much time.
Manual abdominal treatment
Acupuncture is an ancient element of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a highly effective healing method. Needles or low-energy laser beams are used to stimulate acupuncture points and enhance the functionality of the body’s organs. During the treatment, your physician will stimulate specific energy channels – meridians – by means of barely noticeable needle pricks or laser impulses.
Acupuncture is a particularly effective form of therapy for the following:
Neural therapists start from the assumption that diseased or damaged tissue becomes biologically modified. This affects the body’s functionality in much the same way as a jamming transmitter. Your physician injects small amounts of local anaesthetic into certain points that are associated with the painful area. The injection restores the natural bioelectric field thereby silencing the ‘jamming transmitter’, and allowing the body to heal itself. Neural therapy can stop agonising pain in just a few seconds – this ‘phenomenon of seconds’ was first scientifically recognised back in 1965.
Areas of application include:
A common symptom of modern society is haemoconcentration. This can be caused by protein-heavy diets, lack of exercise, and insufficient fluid intake. The blood’s decreased fluidity can have life-threatening results such as heart attacks and strokes.
Modern Mayr Medicine improves blood viscosity simply by means of fasting, high fluid intake and exercise. In some cases, however, we recommended the ancient treatment of therapeutic phlebotomy. Depending on the medical indications, the physician extracts between 250ml and 500ml of blood. If necessary, the treatment is complemented by an infusion. The result is that blood pressure returns to normal with a decreased risk of blood clotting and heart attacks, and long-term improved blood viscosity.
Intravenous drip therapy promotes the body’s ability to self-heal by providing the body with any nutrients that it might be lacking. Since a cleansed digestive system is better at absorbing valuable nutrients, this therapy is particularly effective when combined with Mayr. When deficiency is severe, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements are administered by intravenous drip. Intravenous drip therapy is also recommended for acidosis, or overacidification, which is responsible for many common lifestyle diseases, and premature ageing. It leads to toxin congestion, i.e. to the storage of metabolic waste in intercellular spaces. It is possible to experience high levels of acidosis during the Mayr regime, but this can be remedied by means of base intravenous infusions.
Colon hydrotherapy is a long-standing and successful intestinal cleansing and stabilising method. Over 30% of the population suffers from metabolic impairment due to disease-promoting intestinal bacteria. As a result, tissues cease to be supplied with sufficient oxygen, and toxins are no longer broken down and excreted at the speed required. This inevitably leads to autointoxication (the body starts to self-poison). Colon hydrotherapy cleanses the colon by removing toxins that have accumulated along the intestinal wall.
Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen. It is a powerful oxidant, and is therefore also known as active oxygen. Ozone is administered in the form of a drip infusion. Ozone therapy is a stimulation therapy, which means that the body’s repair and regeneration mechanisms are stimulated by the activation of the cell metabolism, which modulates the immune system and energises red blood cells.
Ozone therapy is most commonly applied in cases of:
Irradiating blood with high-energy laser light enhances blood cell metabolism. Blood viscosity is improved and circulation boosted, thus increasing the oxygen supply to the body as a whole. The therapy has anti-inflammatory and immune-stabilising effects.
Areas of application include:
During this treatment electric pulses are passed through the body. The primary objectives are to promote blood circulation, reduce pain and stimulate muscle activity. This therapy is particularly suitable for treating muscular and musculoskeletal complaints, including muscular strain, tension, weakness, paralysis and arthritis.
Ultrasonic therapy can ease pain and other symptoms caused by disorders of the muscles, tendons and joints. High frequency sound waves have a thermal effect on the tissue interior, and cause cells to vibrate. The effect is comparable to a deep massage. Indications: muscle tension, tendon or muscle pain, irritation of the joints and entheses, tissue and scar adhesions, and bone fractures.
